Since the 2008 Sichuan Earthquake, CCHC – So. Cal. District has partnered with Herald International in the overseas disaster relief effort, helping victims financially and with caring actions and compassion.

Uniqueness:
Direct Involvement – The money will be channeled directly to the disaster area, designated to caring and rebuilding projects.
Transparent Operation – The handling and distribution of donations will be clearly reported to the public.
Christian Witness – Identified as Christians, disaster relief will demonstrate Christ’s love and care for people who suffer.

(Direct Subsides: US$ 112,000)

The 7.1 earthquake in Chinghai on April 4, 2010 caused more than 2,000 deaths and left 10,000 wounded. CCHC supported the following two projects.

The catastrophic 7.0 earthquake in Haiti on Jan. 12, 2010 killed more than 200,000 people, and one million became homeless. In collaboration with other international relief agencies, CCHC was involved in the following programs.

The Taiwan “88” flooding in 2009 by Typhoon Morakot caused much damage, including close to 700 deaths and many homes destroyed. CCHC disaster relief was done through a collaboration with Pingtung Christian Hospital.

The 5.12 Sichuan Earthquake in 2008 killed almost 100,000 people (including those missing); many schools and homes were destroyed.
