Provide resource linkages and language services for cancer patients. Assist cancer patients to obtain the medical care and rights they deserve, including: transportation, in-home supportive services, meal delivery, etc.
Provide two types of consultation services for breast cancer patients to help them face treatment with courage and a correct attitude.
Provide cancer patients and their families a safe platform to share and to interact. Guided by Christian value, Oasis Fellowship focuses on the physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of the cancer patients. The breast and lung cancer support groups focus on providing medical information through presentations and Q & A sessions delivered by experts.
The Herald Cancer Associations of Southern California and New York jointly hosted the inaugural “National Chinese-American Pink Ribbon Conference” from May 16 to May 18, 2024, in Flushing, New York. This nationwide conference brought together approximately 120 sisters with breast cancer, medical professionals, and researchers from various locations. The conference included lectures on breast cancer, group discussions, and workshops. The main goals of the conference were: “To meet, understand, and cherish one another; to be moved, inspired, and take action.” The conference aimed to encourage and support Chinese-American breast cancer patients from different regions and inspire them to participate in breast cancer care services.
Through a seminar followed by a six-week support group to help the bereaved family members.
Through featured articles, patient testimonies and updated information to connect with cancer patients.
Funded by the National Institutes of Health, we are collaborating with Dr. Qian Lu at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in a five-year new research study “My Journey.” After two years of preparation, we will start recruiting participants with joint efforts from CCHC Orange County, San Diego and New York cancer care ministries.
